Hmm, that does look interesting! Never played Fallout 2, but the original Fallout was a lot of fun!

My memory and a recent article from Brother None both suggest that Fallout 2 has many more 'silly' elements to it. I mean that the game itself tries to be that way. For instance, a character like Tom Cruise and a "religion" much like Scientology both play a minor point in the plot at some point.
I'd highly recommend 2 if you played 1.
I figure I'll upgrade my machine eventually to run the sequels I want (Bioshock, Oblivion, Starcraft, etc.).
