Fable was a very beautiful game, which otherwise sucked. I've got a good feeling about Oblivion, although it's maybe a little less ambitious than what I was proposing. Still, it's easy to imagine stuff, now isn't it.
I deserve money, I reckon.

Fable is/was best xbox 'rpg'... but it was still terribly boring and ugly and annoying. Nice stealth 'quests', which you couldn't pass any other way... than stealthing *grin*
And Oblivion... I have high hopes for it. I don't believe Bethesda would fail us.
EDIT: Posted suggestions on wrong side *grin*

The Radiant AI system could potentially make for unique NPC-to-NPC encounters throughout the game, which would be rather fascinating. If I knew of a lower level thief that mucked about, stole from farmers, and (say 4 months later) was suddenly running through City X with guards behind, that would be cool.
How well generalized goals will realistically work is anyone's guess, I guess.
The graphics are a definite improvement over Morrowind, especially re: faces and such. Movement also appears to be much more fluid. The only thing that seems bizarre is the use of way, way too much bloom. I appreciate that bright and sparkly and enchantickle halo of light effect a la Thief 3/Thief: Deadly Shadows, but too much bloom looks a bit too surreal.

Yeah, about graphics. I took note of that Bethesda has finally gotten 3D artists and not 3D novices *grin*
About the surreal light... Isn't fantasy supposed to be surreal? While yeah. Oblivion looks more 'Full hearted fantasy' instead of 'Dark fantasy' of Morrowind. But both styles are fine in my opinion.

Maybe surreal wasn't quite the right word.
The bloom makes everything look great, but there's something strange about the degree of bloom in some shots. Maybe it's just me.
