I want to make this place into a shelter for all Ultima fans. And not "only" Redemption fans. The new board sections should help to reach this goal.

Also the homepage will be updated during the next weeks / months. I will make the right side of the homepage more *general* Ultima related. Maybe with walkthroughs etc...

I will do all this whenever I am in the mood for it and when private life / work on Redemption and "real life" work will allow it, so it will last a while till it's the way I want it to be.
It would be cool if you could tell your friends about this place so we can build up a big Ultima community.

I think it would be nice to have a place which can be considered the place for all us Ultima nerds.

Since the community is already quite big because of Redemption I think our site has everything it needs for a good start.

If you have any suggestions concerning this feel free to post them.

btw: no one has to fear that the enhanced site and board will slow down the Redemption development, because like I said it will be updated whenever I have time for it. Redemption has top prioity of course Wink

Posting this idea at other boards might be a good idea, but having a more neutral zone so to speak might be a better idea: Probably a larger Ultima forum with links to project-based forums.

Basically a central forum for only non-remake related stuff with on a side bar links to the remake forums.

A completely different forum? Why should'nt the Ultima section with non-remkae related stuff and 3 forums and the non-remkae related Tavern be enough?

I guess it's just a matter of relationship - now it feels a bit like the generic Ultima forum is a sub-forum of the Redemption project. I guess it would feel more natural if the generic Ultima-series forum would be distinct one with link to the Redemption forum. That way the hierarchy would be more "natural". But personally I don't mind, but I guess that's what Iceblade was meaning.

Yeah I see that, but I think that should be no problem as soon as people see that the Ultima Forum is for Ultima and not Redemption (like it was in the past already)

I really meant a separate board entirely (different url) and the point would be to have a central location for all Ultima discussion instead of having numerous forums spread across the cyberspace. Essientally bring unity to whole Ultima community.
