From the poster who brought you such deep and original questions as, "What is your favorite X or Y?", comes a bone-chilling, mega-macking ultra supreme teh haxxor question for the ages:
So, when thinking about the Ultimas centered around Britannia: what inconsistency, loose-end, or other similar thingy do you most want to see corrected or resolved? If you're hard-pressed to pick just one, a few are fine.
This could be the infamous Blackthorn controversy, what ever became of "Wonder Boy", why the Avatar always loses his/her power and stuff each Ultima (though SI is an exception), etc.
No matter how utterly obscure or blatantly obvious, I would love to hear it. Thank ya much.

I'd like to see the Ultima 8 ending wrapped up a little better. Find out what happened to Pagan, etc.
It would also be damn cool if the game gave us a chance to use the powers of the Titan of Ether! I don't know if that really belongs in Ultima IX though.

Well, I wasn't sure whether you would have us play as Titan of Ether, or make that a cutscene-type deal. It would be cool, but it would also be a big project to take on, wouldn't it? I mean, we don't really have much to go on in terms of what kind of powers exactly the Avatar would have, or how they would integrate into the game. Not to mention, Pagan is its own world, and a pretty nig one at that...
I remember hearing that originally there was supposed to be an "Ultima VII part II" where you played as the Titan of Ether and they had you using your powers to challenge the Guardian on Pagan. That would've been the best way to do it if you ask me, but unfortunately they never came out with U8pt2 so I guess you have to put that stuff in Ultima IX.
I always imagined the Avatar as losing his powers doing this--that the Guardian, in a fit of anger, decides to send a huge meteor storm to destroy Pagan. The Avatar uses his powers as Titan of Ether to stop the storm and seal Pagan off so that the Guardian can never come back... but in the process, he "dies" the way they had it happen with the dragon. Then returns to Britannia without his powers.
Probably you can't tell us whether or not the beginning will resemble that. So feel free to ignore this if you choose. Just the way I like to imagine things.
