 What's your favorite Ultima character/NPC? |

For some reason the intelligent Cyclops from U7 has always stuck with me. Plus the wenches I shagged in Buck's Den and the sorceress from U 7 1/2 I scored with. (while playing as a female character)

I'd actually started a second Serpent Isle game just to see if the sorceress would shag a female character.

Hummm my favorite NPCs.... it's not an easy question actually because of course every single Ultima nice and enjoyable characters, but I think i'll just bode down to two of them
The first one is Shamino. I've always felt he was a nice character of course but I think he really gained a new dimension after Serpent Isle. It really added to his background in a way that well... I think the other compagnions never got a chance to have. The whole story about his rule as Lord Shamino, his love for the lady Beatrix was juste really great, with all the tragedy you can think of these kind of story (the lord still alive in a distant world yet convinced his land and all his people are dead and gone... while they kept hoping that he would come back to save them). Shamino has facinated me ever since... and he's really my favorite companion in the series and of my favorite character. And in that respect I must say I was very glad that of all the companions in Ascension he was the one to have a true and integral part in the story (and I felt it's one of those thing that the game really got spot on, even his voice sounded just like I always imagined it would :shock: )
The other one is definitly Cantra in Serpent Isle. I dunno there was something about her character. It's one of the first NPCs you get to talk with in the game, and all her cheerfulness and enthusiasm about being a knight were all so very nice ! I remember after completing the Knight Test, I spend quite a while searching the city for her to "tell" her about the est, but to no avail of course. The vision of her and Batlin in the crystal ball was kind of a shock, but not so much as seeing her lifeless body in Shamino's castle ewww :cry: I've always been very pissed of about not being able to cure her after she's ressurected, I actually spend hours trying to do that, using all the possible water but nay 
So here goes my favorite characters !

My favorite characters have to be Dupre. Dupre was just so cool, he had that kind of rebellious yet honourable air about him :p. It was annoying that he sacrificed himself cos he was great.
And the second one has to be The Guardian. He's one of THE best computer game nasty baddies of all time (the only other one that comes close for me is SHODAN damn she was scary), just the way that he could always see what you were doing but you had no way of stopping him was a bit creepy. The comments he shouted at you every now and then just gave him so much character.

Dupre is my favourite rpg companion. While SHODAN, is my favourite villain. Cheers : )

Hmm, let's see...
Gotta agree with LordHogFred, Dupre is certainly one of my favourite characters. I liked his atrribute, he was the most cheerful NPC (besides Chuckles, of course :lol
. No problem that you couldn't solve after a good drink.
But my favourite companion was - Sherry (in U6)! I liked boosting her strength up to 30 and equipping her with plate armor & a halbard. Strange thought, that little guy beating up a winged Gargoyle :shock:.
The denizens of this mystic place assault you without warning.
You see 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, and 99 Berserkers.

Most interesting villain: definitely the Guardian, the idea of him deceiving and corrupting rather than outright attacking... and mocking the Avatar the whole time... he was great.
Favorite NPC... I did like Shamino, though I think my favorite would be Iolo, he was just so much more easy-going.
Either that, or the girl in Buccaneers Den (again, Ascension) who yells WANT TO PAR-TY? Scared the CRAP out of me the first time it happened... after climbing back into my chair, I promptly ran in and out of that room just to hear her yell it over and over. Yes, I'm odd.

I only played Ultima IX so I guess I don't know the main NPCs as well as most of you do, but I loved the game and all the characters in it (especially Raven 
) !
