Thanks for the updates! Looks great, so bright and completely unlike Morrowind.
The denizens of this mystic place assault you without warning.
You see 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, and 99 Berserkers.
Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?

That looks like very good work! I'm somewhat impressed by the simple size of Britain -- it looks considerably larger than what we saw in Ascension.
There is some really lovely-looking architecture there, and I particularly really like the statuary and those dragon spires, as well as the plumes of blue fire. By the way, what are the three-eyed creatures on the walls in this image?
If I may ask, are these intended to show the final state of th textures? I note that the chain-links in this image look a little dull and the larger flames in this image appear to have a mild alpha issue.
Overall, however, these images look really good -- well done! ^_^

The scaffolding on the castle is a nice touch. I'm guessing it's a rebuild after an attack, though I guess maybe LB is just upgrading. He probably hired more maids and needs a bigger nursery.

That creature is a Vorz. This is what the Codex of Editable Wisdom says about them:
Vorz are the working beings of Talorus. The Talorians create them with a machine to do all the manual labour they can't do or don't have the time for. They look like purple, slug-like beings with two arms, three eyes and a big mouth with teeth. In combat they are a minimal threat.
Vorz are also found in the purple zone of the Void.
Initially, the Vorz are peaceful, but then the Guardian commands them to attack the Avatar.

You are right, the details do not come out well. I'll work that out and maybe add some rust! The alpha issue only comes up when you are a bit further away and is a MW problem I think. If you use the MGE it should be fine.

Is it any wonder with scenery to eventually play the game in like this that we are all hanging in awaiting the day that we are set free to explore it all. We understand that this is only a tiny taster of what is eventually awaiting us.
Now I will shut up, go back to sleep and await further developments.
Fred.

Quite the alluring creation. So many grand details, especially the carved creatures on the shrine. I Love it!
Seems like lots of differences from the last time the Avatar was there (U7). Aesthetically familiar of course, and the castle looks mostly like the one we remember, but I wonder - since 20 years have passed in this story (a lot less then between most installments) - if you would be matching the layout of each city and town more closely. If that is the case here then the city has gone through massive changes in a short time, like losing many southern houses and shops (in war I would guess, judging by the wall) yet some remain or have been rebuilt (at the docks). What's more, whoever commissioned that damn shrine seems to have condemned the Museum of the Avatar and the Hall of Bards! Those Bastards! (I say that because of the loss to the arts, not because I'm not humble enough to loose my Museum, of course.)

Just wondering if you were satisfied keeping to just the flavor of a place, as it will feel different anyway without the isometric perspective, or are you playing with the kind of detailed expectations I'm on about here? No doubt you'll be far closer then Ascension got at least.

Well, considering Britain got almost entirely destroyed in the war, it's no wonder.
Btw, the Editable Codex is dead, use the Codex of Ultima Wisdom in the future.

As you can see in my profile Ultima 7 is my favorite Ultima and I share your love for that game, but then again, this is not an Ultima 7 remake and as Tribun wrote, Britain was destroyed in the war and then rebuilt. It serves as a monument to the glory of the Atarkans. (btw: there are more farm houses outside of Britain.)
You can read about what happened in our own Timeline. Start reading at [0364 A.B.] to learn what happened before Redemption starts! I highly recommend it!
What I did carry over from U7 is the general feel of the design. It was very important to me to get this color scheme right and I think we are not too far off.
Technically it would not be a problem at all to build it exactly liike in U7, but that's not what it was about.
(Then again, Britain isn't done yet either.)

Btw., I just spotted a Gazer statue on the Artakan fortress in Britain. Don't know why that's there, but it is a nice touch.

Vorz and Gazer identified. Can you also identify the big black creature on the fourth screenshot?

And here one from me, this is what the brute looks in hi-res, from the Japanese manual:

Maybe that helps to improve the model?
