I'd like to know if there's any room for more plot to be added besides what you have outlined. I say this because I have ideas for plot that address issues from Worlds of Ultima, Ultima Underworld, and Pagan, and would fit well as part of a true Ultima IX. One important element is the origin of snake symbolism and its link to the Ophidians. Another deals with Pagans who migrate to Britannia as their world is being destroyed. Most of the plot can progress in a non-linear fashion through NPCs, but triggered events mark overall progress. Let me know if you have any room to add more story.

Phinal, if you don't mind my asking, I'd like to hear some of your ideas regarding the Worlds of Ultima games and Ultima Underworlds as well, being that my project is also influenced by these titles.

If you're interested, that is. Email, PM, MSN, AIM...anything works for me!

Smile WtFD

Pagan is the best Ultima (after redemption) it´s a MUST in the new King.

The thing is that the begining of this game is truly depressing, All Brittania has been taken over by the Atarkans, it´s not like the old times in which you returned to Britania and Lord British was there, now he is locked up in a prison, imagine the poor old man

U5 had a similar "hostile world" premise. As for Pagan being the best Ultima... Big Grin

Glad it's not just me. It's rare that I don't finish a game.

I'll have to finish the document on 'halfheart' I talked about ages ago. I'd be interested in what Corv'd say about it. Apart from being 30 pages of waffle, I reckon there's a game in it.

I deserve money, I reckon.

About my game description.

It was a while back, but I started describing a game engine that was rendered nearly redundant when Oblivion was announced. However, the story was cool enough, and there are aspects of the game I had in mind which I'm yet to see in a gaming world. I'm not a developer but I'm a big imaginer, and it seems probable that the Oblivion engine (assuming they release kits for it) could make my game relatively feasible.

I'm constantly caught between projects I am doing and projects I'm just thinking about. Strangely enough, games are probably the medium I know most about and yet am least likely to do stuff for.

Have to see if this multi-arts venue I'm involved with send me bankrupt or not before I could devote much time to other things... :?

I deserve money, I reckon.
