Aw man, that's beautiful!!
My favourite is the snippet of dalogue with Jergi (the gypsy Jergi from U7!?). Well written, very atmospheric!
The denizens of this mystic place assault you without warning.
You see 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, 99 Berserkers, and 99 Berserkers.
Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?

Yes it is the same Jergi. This dialogue is from DH.

Very nice screenshots.
I was hiking in North Tyrol only last Friday (took the gondola lift in Tannheim).
Thanks for the nice weather - it was a rainy drive that changed to clear skies minutes after parking the car.

Hehe, well lately we have around 35 ° C (around 100 ° F) almost every day with a few rainshowers in between.
It's a safe bet though that the weather is better during the week than on weekends. At least I feel like as soon as I am off work the weather gets bad.
Glad it worked out for you

You know, the latest flood of screenshots which have now been released just makes the game more and yet more awesome!
I wonder what R.G. will say when the game is finally released.

These screenshots do look really nice. Just to be sure: you guys are still making progress, right? I'd heard baseless rumors that you couldn't make any furth progress.
Oh, and Corv... I noticed your avatar. Is that from the actual intro? You know, once you come close to finishing the game, putting the intro online as a video to attract attention would be interesting.

Yes we do, sometimes more, sometimes less, never none.
It's never easy with a project like this. You don't go to work at 8 and then the whole team works on it the whole day, it's far from it. If it would be like that I guess we would have been done 3 years ago. It's all a labour of love, as cheesy as that sounds. Sometimes people don't have time for weeks or even months but others continue to work on their own part. Worst case is when the absence of one member stops the work of another, this also happens, but then there are times were everyone is working... That's just how it is.
What makes this project different from many others and more complicated is also, that it's not a remake in the traditional sense. There is no blueprint that we "simply" (I know NO remake is simple) have to follow. The blueprint has to come from us too.

Thanks and yes I wonder too.
I am not trying to be sarcastic here, I love RG for all the great games he and his company made (which were so much more for me than just games), but I honestly wonder if he cares at all about something like Redemption. Especially Redemption since he was happy with Ascension
Again, Ascension was a great game, it's just a shame that they didn't get the time and resources they would have needed to make it a true Ultima.
We certainly have the time, but I wonder if we are able to capture the magic. I guess only an outsider will be able to tell once its released.
I am .. kinda.. biased

There have now been re-makes of many of the original Ultima series, software has been written to enable two of the real classics to be played using modern operating systems and we are now all involved either as maker or fan-in-anticipation in a remake which is not a remake of the end of the Ultima series. It is an incredible project and surely this is the sort of thing which will make RG appreciate what he has done over the years particularly as it was his and his old team's original ideas that inspired the RPG industry that we have today. Personally, I don't think that he was satisfied with IX, I think that commercial considerations forced him to release a game that was not anywhere near the standards that we have witnessed and experienced in past Ultima's . This surely is the main reason that the Titans are attempting to produce a new version which is nearer that which he would have wished to achieve. As there are no commercial considerations now to restrict development the project, when it is finally released, will be "awsome" as I have already posted.

@Tribun:
Just wanted to mention how excited we all are working on this and how great it is coming along. No worries we will get there! I'm having so much fun developing Vesper and I've made some great progress in the past few days.

Up until a few months ago we were receiving almost monthly progress reports from Dire Haggis. Now I know and appreciate that D.H. is presently somewhat occupied with the problems of matrimony and home making as well as his job so he probably has less time than he would like to devote to "The Project". No doubt he will overcome this problem eventually but in the meantime I wonder if one of the other hard working Titans could spare a little time to write a current progress report for us fans. I used to look forward to D.H.'s report every month so now he is temporarily somewhat occupied with other tasks I wonder whether anybody else "in the know" could substitute for him until he is once again available to continue his good work.

Fred-A makes a very good point: I am at best sporadic nowadays. Having someone else do the update is a good idea. At best I might have an hour a day if I really force the issue with my fiancee and friends and work.
I guess life changes over the course of...uh...wow. 7 years. I have been on two Redemption teams and been writing dialogue in general for 7 years for U9R.
There's been quite a lot of progress. I've mostly just cleaned up parts of the main plot over the last several months. There was some skill implementation and other things that needed to be done before getting back to main plot implementation.
There's some stuff I need to do like write general party dialogues for various party members just when you're trundling along and want to talk to them. Like a lot of stuff I planned, I had to majorly scale this back.
As it is, there are...36?...roughly 36 chapters of dialogue spanning ~450,000 words (although 50k-100k is probably non main quest city/village/dungeon dialogues). Even after cutting out characters and majorly pruning stuff, each chapter of the last third of the game is very meaty.
