When I heard that the pumpkinshad reunited I was really excited and decided to buy a one-day-ticket for "Rock am Ring" this year just to see them. Than I heard that not all the old members would join and was disappointed... I love the pumpkins, but I did not like Zwan or Melissa auf der Maur, and now I'm afraid that the reunion will be disappointing. We will see. Maybe you got some further information, Corv? The single sounds quite good so far...

P.S.: I listened to some songs of Silversun Pickups after reading your signature, and I really enjoyed it! My taste in music has changed to faster and harder music over the last years, but this is a band that could definitely bring me back Wink

Don't worry, Billy is the Smahing Pumpkins. Well Billy and Jimmy Chamberlin (the drummer - one of the best in the world). I wasn't a big fan of Zwan either - I did like his solo album Future Embrace though.

Zwan was intentionally totally different. Billy did the album with those other guys ... and Melissa auf der Maur was just the bass player for their final shows back in 2000 - she has absolutely nothing to do with the creative process of the Pumpkins and she is also not in the new Pumpkins.

Again, Billy Corgan is the mastermind. Siamese Dream was recorded almost by himself for example.

I am a fan since 1993 and trust me, the Pumpkins are back. No need to worry. This is NOT Zwan.

Btw: I got tickets for Asheville in July! They are doing 9 shows there. They will play new songs written on the tour and they encourage people to bring recording devices (!)

Yesterday the tickets should have been sold by Ticketweb, but the system broke down the minute the sale started... and was still down 7 hours later. No chance for people to buy tickets Smile So they delayed it to Monday and this time ticketmaster sold the tickets '(better system):
