Wow! Now that's innovative! Looks like an interesting game, even though that setting is usually not my kind of taste...

Just so long as we continue to get snippets of their continuing progress here from time to time, I'm happy to wait! Good point. Ultima IX was released when it was NOT done and some people (namely Richard) claimed it would have been done. Actually it hadn't been done at all, but still, we can be happy that the game has been released (thanks to the efforts of some very eager devs!). Otherwise we wouldn't have had anything (people might claim this is even better, but I don't think so because there are things you can really enjoy in U9).

Now, if this thread is a random guess thread... Let's say Redemption will be released in 3 years?
Looking forward to your ideas..

(btw, even though Lazarus is a great game and will remain one of the best projects until Redemption is released at least, please don't do the same mistakes, but fix as many bugs as possible before release and don't rush it for the christmas holiday or something... stability can do a lot to atmosphere of a game which is difficult to outweight by all the other aspects such as music, art, etc.)
This always reminds me of Gothic - would have been a great game I would really love if there hadn't been the "unfixed" bugs (still don't understand why they didn't fix it - would have been sooo great)...

IF you're really "teleported" (to another map), the flight cheat won't be of any help unfortunately.
Once we have our editor ready, we might easily fix this bug. For the moment, loading an older savegame looks like the only solution then..

How Ultima 9 "could" look: New Forgotten World screenshots 07-06-2021 01:25 Forum: Ultima Fan Projects

Hey everyone,

as some of you know, I am member of "Team Forgotten World", the crazy guys trying to resurrect (or rather: repair?) the original Ultima 9 Ascension with some positive alterations. These alterations are mainly:
a) Graphics. You can have better graphics in the old U9 engine than U9 actually had. We have proven it! Really! If you still don't believe, visit or website (see below) and take a look at the newly released screenshots.
b) Plot. Ultima 9's plot was not-so-well-received. It didn't really "fit into the series" as many people say and simply did not take into account previous Ultimas in some areas. We want to do change that as we have just announced. Take a look at our website (see below) to get more information of what we are talking about.

If you find this interesting and want to know more, visit our website: www.forgottenworld.de

We are also looking for someone very familiar with the Ultima lore, so if you feel you know a lot about the 8 Ultima games (previous to Ascension), check out our new team opening: "Ultima lore expert".

Any questions may be asked via email or in this thread!

Yeah, that dragon is funny and kinda misplaced there (but see the burning house in the background? It could have been him Wink ).
Sometimes it's really strange to see what the devs left behind - I mean they could have deleted the dragon instead of making him invisible - just as though they wanted it to be found...

Awesome work!

On a side note: Have you found a way to play music dependent on the player's current location? From working on a Morrowind Mod myself ("Adventures of Blackthorn", has been shut down), I remember we had heavy difficulties with the fact that we could only define exploration and battle music in Morrowind that randomly plays..

Nun viel Erfolg weiterhin!

Wenn ich dann solch heroische Sätze wie "Wer sind die Gargoyles?" übersetzen dürfte, bewerb ich mich hiermit schonmal offiziell für den Job eines Übersetzers. Big Grin
