Too bad the patches didn't fix that one. Looks like you either need to load an older saved game, or use the fly cheat.

I thought the dungeons in Ascension were the best part of the game. I'd like to see that style incorporated even if it takes more time to put it together.
Regarding what Fred-A said, this sounds like an "ultima loose end that should be tied up" topic assuming no explanation for that change was ever given... one that would require a further explanation for why they're reconnected again if they indeed are. Probably more plausible that they became unconnected for a reason and stayed that way, and probably much easier for the Redemption design.
