Ahh, finally someone that understands my cornfield Wink

I never thought that this cornfield would be a base for a discussion, but I guess I underestimated the magic of such a field... hmm maybe we should put some aliens in there...

Could always have a Kilrathi fighter crash into the corn fields again, and the Avatar uses it to bomb the Atarkan army to oblivion!

I live really close to what was once a farming town, known as Hollis. (Currently, the place is being slowly bought out and being turned into a residential zone.)

There used to be a few fields over there, but now I can only find one. I've never really seen sparse stalks quiver and die individually... But then again I only see that field a couple times every few weeks.

As for the K'lrathi fighter... It might be good to throw something Wing Commander related somewhere in there. Just for nostalgia's sake. Both Ultima 7 and Serpent Isle had some form of reference to Wing Commander, I don't know about Ultima 8 however.

Hm, to be honest, including another Wing Commander would be lame. It was funny the first time, mildly entertaining the second time. Enough. Personally, I don't like references to other games or worse, real world culture. It destroys my immersion when I play the game. Surely people remember Fallout II which was in itself a great game but the in-jokes were so overwhelming that it nearly destroyed the whole point of a future wasteland setting.

If people insist in such displays of humor, please hide it in some obscure level of a faraway dungeon.

We did not plan to add something like that - I think its easy to see that I was joking with the Alien thing Wink

If we add humor like that then for sure as something that only can be found when a real freak tries REALLY hard to find it.
