Well since we are getting (almost) no feedback on them I guess you all like the new shots. Thats great! (I realise that only if something is NOT good theres a lot of feedback Wink )

There appears to be some discoloring on a crop in the first screenshot. Is that from a sunglare? It does not appear to be in the other shots of, what I presume to be, the same set of crops.

The "miscoloring" you talk about is a yellow crop - there are more of them, further back of the field even ones that are laying on the fence because they "died" - it makes it more realistic. So, no its not from the sunglare its intentional.

I like the screenshots, especially the buildings.

I get the impression that you make most of the graphics, instead of taking Morrowind ones, is this the case?

Yes we try not to use Morrowind graphics (meshes, Textures). The textures will definitely be all new - no single MW texture. We will only take a few of the morrowind objects (like the fence for example) that fit into our game (after changing the textures). In the shots you still see a few MW houses that were only retextured (the one with the window in the roof). But those will be changed too.

Glad you like the shots!

It would be great with a screenshot showing some character or monster, but maybe those things arent done yet.

No its much too early to show such shots since this is much too far from the final state. I even removed all characters from the world for the screenshtos you see in the media page. You will have to be patient Smile

I gave my feedback in the other thread already. As I said, the screenshots look very promising and create the desire for more. The colouring is done fine, it reminded me very much of Ultima 7.

I mistook them for some older screenshots, but it was a long time ago since I have seen them last.

Did you make any changes to the water ? It is no longer shaded which but looks nontheless fine due to the similarity with former Ultimas.

BTW, did you ever think to send your news to RPGDot.com ? I was always under the impression that they are open to all kinds of news and it might draw more attention the TNO/R.

Yeah I know you were one of the few who gave immediate feedback Smile Thanks!

As for RPGDot.com: I posted the news there on the Ultima Forum AND I PMd the admin (Parcival) to update the news and the remake section. No word yet. The problem there is that they are veeery slow. It also took some time till TNK was in the news.

Any chance of getting a shot of the dead crops?

Hmm... If the crops really are dead, then I speculate that they've gone to some neglect. As though the inhabitants of New Magincia, at this point, are not at their jobs as they would be under normal circumstance.

Do I sense a rather unwelcoming city here?

Oh you put too much into that. Its perfectly normal that some crops are turning yellow - tehy are still good though (dead was the wrong word), there are some fields not far away from where I live. And yes sometimes one falls...

I live too close to Hollis, New Hampshire.

Seriously, the fields you see out here are quite something to look at.

Smile Well, so you for sure have noticed that at a certain time the crops turn yellow (and that its normal - not because the owner doesnt care).

Well, guessing from the comments, none of you live near a corn field or have spent any time on a farm. Laughing

FARMING 101: Yes, corn crops turn yellow in the fall around harvest time. The plants "die" and the ears of corn dry out. By drying out, the corn kernels become hard and shrink slightly making it MUCH easier to "shake" the kernels off the cob (essentially, a combine shakes the kernels off the cob.). So, to the TEAM, good job varying the appearance of the corn. If the story is set in the late summer, then the look of the corn is perfect. Very Happy

By the way, I live in Illinois and I'm surrounded by corn and bean fields. That's how I know. However, that doesn't mean I like it! Wink

But I digress, I wanted to comment a little more on the screenshots. From my recollection of U7, the last "real" Ultima set in Britannia, the screenshots of your NM have a consistent look and impression of what I recall (sorry it's been a while since I've played U7 ... maybe this fall/winter now that I have it working through DOSBOX). Obviously, the screenshots are only a small sample, but I REALLY think the team is on the right track.

I'm also looking forward to seeing more of the flora and funa as you progress. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing with us fans. I'm LOVING it. My excitement grows daily.

Keep up the GREAT work! Very Happy
