Unfortunately our board was hacked, but I managed to recover it - just case you wondered why the board was down for some time...

Well, in fact I can think of 2 or 3 people who might have done it... but it could also have been a random attack. I will check the logs and see if I can find something. I updated the board now and it should not be so easy anymore.

By any chance, was it some "Turkish hackers"? The Time Immortal forum board just got hacked, and I'd be curious to know how you managed to solve the problem. I have a new forum installed and configured, but the barsteds put an entry somewhere in the database so that when I try and restore the data I extracted using the phpMyAdmin tool on my domain, I get the hacked site splash screen.

I'm trying to root the entry out, but as yet I haven't been able to.

I got your mail. No it was no group - I got no brag message like you did. I am quite sure mine was a "private" attack, but anyway...
I tried to connect to your board to see the error message (or the splash screen) but you seem to have erased it for now. I will send you a mail with the SQL entry that could be the problem this evening (have it all at home).

Extraofficialy, I believe it was a disruption of the Ethereal Realm that caused the forum to go down...
