I honestly simply forgot to scan and upload the magazine article I told you about some days ago. So now I quickly made a picture of it - better than nothing:
Here a (quick!) translation :
"The legendary Ultima from Origin ended with part 9. The production of Ultima 10 Odyssey was cancelled a short time ago. Every time when something evil happens in Britannia a hero in form of the Avatar appears to fight this evil. Same in Ultima 9: the evil Guardian causes pillars to “grow” which destroy the shrines of the virtues and tempt the people to be evil. As Avatar you travel through the land and try to do something against that.
Ultima 9 Ascension was the best looking RPG at the time; a huge landscape made it possible to travel outside of the story paths and explore the land. The fantasy world seemed to be alive. Hardcore fans didn’t like the unusual superficial story and some design decisions like the missing party and the disappointing end.
Ultima 9: Redemption wants to make those things better and rewrite the whole game. In the Fan Remake you should be able to choose between 5 different endings by choosing a path in the beginning of the game. And so you have the possibility to not only do good deeds. You will also be able to play as female Avatar where you get special dialogues and different possibilities of handling some things. The team doesn’t want to announce a release date yet.”
The pictures in the article and the article itself aren't up to date anymore. _________________ Corv Dragon

The article forgot to mention that while traversing the huge landscape and exploring the land outside the scope of the story the player also had the opportunity to fall into an inescapable black chasm or crash to desktop.
So which part of the article isn't up to date anymore? |

the 5 endings and that you can choose the path in the beginning is not true anymore. Which means that you dont make a choice in the beginning that forces you to play the game in a special way. _________________ Corv Dragon

Actually, that's a definite misprint. Initially we wanted 5 endings, but we never intended for you to make this choice at the beginning of the game, and we never told Gamestar that. So god knows where they got that notion ; ) _________________ ~Chlorthos Dragon
