Greetings Nymeria and Taddeus,
Last night I began using NOM2.2 after some problems with another mod which does almost the same thing as Nom. I won't mention the name of that mod because someone might get upset at me 4 it. Anyway I just want to say that I've found NOM to be a great mod and am having loads of fun checking out all the new things I can eat. However I have encountered alittle snag.
The snag has nothing to do with the mod at all. Flawless it is it seems. But the snag I'm having is being able to run around on 0 fatigue. In the previous mod I used whenever you hit 0 fatigue you passed out for a few seconds depending mostly on what you were doing. For example if you had auto run on then you stayed down until you made sure you were not trying to run anymore. I like using realism mods and enjoyed the feature of passing out with the previous mod and was dismayed that NOM does not have this feature. So I took it apon myself to open both mods in the CS and see if I could meld this part of both together. If it was a perfect world then I would have completed this quickly..but alas it is not a perfect world and I've yet to complete it at all.
I ask this of either of you. How easy would it be for one of you to add this feature into NOM? It wouldn't have to be anything grand, and if you see fit to do it I would be grateful to get it in any aspect. With my limited knowledge I would think all it might take is perhaps a copy of the other script into your fatigue script, with some proper name changes because of gloabal scritps looking for certain ones. Again let me say I'm limited in my knowledge of scripting..I can dream up the idea..but doing it takes awhile.
So if either of you are up to this little request, or have the time then please let me know either by posting here..or a email to [email protected].
Either way,
Thank You |

Hi, Mainframe and thanks for your compliments. We're always very proud when we see that our work is appreciated by Morrowind players, since we put a really great effort in doing this mod.
About your request.
Necessities has effects for when you drop to 0 fatigue, but you must activate them using the configuration script. But maybe you already did that...
The effects are different from the ones of the other mod: you will not fall to the ground, but your speed will be set to 0 and you'll be no more able to jump until you relax a little while. Also, you'll be more hungry next time you'll have to eat.
While developing Necessities, we already tried the "fall down" option, but it looked a bit excessive to us. So we decided that the character moving slower is a better simulation of tiredness.
If you like the other mod better, you can simply disable the Necessities fatigue control (you can do that using the config script) and use the fatigue part of the other mod (but I don't know if this other mod is modular or not...).
Keep posting if you have other suggestions or requests. |

Ow fainting is a bit extreme . I have used another Mod that had falling down and eventhough the Master Modder who created it is one of my favorite Modders i found it to be a bit tedious to be falling down every ten steps when the fatigue hit zero.Even when i used MEGA MORROWIND's movement esp (MM.esp) alongside it which sped up stamina use and regeneration it was still distracting to slow down every ten steps to prevent falling to my knees. In real life runners can run for hours and have ups and downs of stamina rushes. When i was younger i used to run for like five hours sometimes during the weekends and found myself all of sudden with a burst of energy at different periods of my run. But i never collapsed to the ground or fainted. It wasnt untill the end of the running session when i stopped that i felt totally exhausted.
Thats pretty cool that NOM makes the Player hungrier next time from having zero stamina.Nice |
